Welcome to the SAP Training Page!
SAP is the Minneapolis Public Schools’ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. It allows the district to automate and track key business and financial functions such as budgets, requisitions, purchasing, and staffing.
All MPS SAP users must complete training before they will be granted access to the system.

Are you a first time SAP User?
INtroduction to Navigating
This training is required for all staff before they will be granted access to SAP. Upon completion of this course, check the “Role-Based Training” section below for additional trainings that may be required/recommended for your role.
Account Codes
This training is required for all staff before they will be granted access to SAP. This course should be taken after the Introduction course, but before any Role-Based training is completed.
Role-Based Training
Manage Your Budget
This training is required for all staff using SAP who manage department or school budgets. The Introduction to Navigating and Account Codes courses should be completed before taking this course.
Display PO & Goods receipt
This training is intended for Finance staff, Account Clerks, Office Specialists and School Secretaries who handle procurement for their school or department. The Introduction to Navigating and Account Codes courses should be completed before taking this course.
Display & Manage Staffing
This training is intended for all MPS clerical staff that support either school or department budgets and Human Resources Staff who support the staffing process in SAP. The Introduction to Navigating, Account Codes and Manage Your Budget courses should be completed before taking this course.
Additional Role-Based Training
In addition to the training available on The Source, you may be required to complete additional role-based training depending on the security level you need and/or your job role within the district.
Once you have completed all training required for your role, please complete the SAP Access Request Form.
