If you receive a questionable email:

  • Delete it immediately.

  • Do not click on any links.

  • Do not reply to the sender.

  • If asked for an immediate response or action, contact the sender directly through a separate communication channel (via phone, text, or new email).

Malware can be attached directly to an email or embedded in documents that are shared as attachments or via cloud-based storage (like Google Drive). Once installed on a computer, malware can steal information.
