OVERVIEW
The Microsoft Authenticator app helps you sign in to your accounts when you're using Multifactor Authentication (MFA).
Passwords can be forgotten, stolen, or compromised. Using another factor (like your phone) makes it harder for hackers to break in to your account.
Note: You’ll need to have a QR scanner on your phone to install the app.
NEW CELL PHONES
If you get a new phone, you’ll need to call the IT Services eHelp Desk at (612)668-0088 available Mondays-Fridays from 7:30am-4:00pm, to have them reset your authentication.

Please Note: Anyone that knows your username and password can make an approval request appear on your phone. Should this happen, follow the directions in the “Continuous Use” document to deny the request.
Please reset your password once you have denied the request.

Choose Software & Web Applications, then Install New Software when submitting your eTicket.
