Overview
This self-paced course is on Comprehensive Literacy Instruction (CLI), the MPS SPED department recommended framework for teaching literacy in our setting 3/4 ASD and DCD classrooms. It provides an overview of the 4 blocks of CLI, explains how to determine if your students require emergent vs. conventional interventions, how to incorporate assistive technology and CORE vocabulary in literacy instruction, and delves deeper into how to create daily/weekly lessons and schedules for reading comprehension and word study. You can complete the course in order, or reference sections you have specific interest in.
