The Promethean Board (technically, "ActivBoard") combines a touch-enabled panel with a projector to create an interactive white board.  Depending on the model you have in your classroom, the projector may be short-throw (mounted on an arm connected to the board), or it may be mounted on the ceiling. The ActivBoard may be touch-enabled, or it may require the use of a special pen.
