The Employee Self-Service (ESS) Portal is a web-based system where MPS employees can record working time, enroll and/or update benefit information, update personal information (including address, phone numbers, tax withholdings, and view salary statements.

Note: Maintaining a 457B Plan is not currently allowed in ESS, you must contact the vendor directly by phone or website to make adjustments
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
To view each answer, click on the questions below:
+ If you are in ESS Portal and receive a message stating "Critical Error. A critical error has occurred. Process of the service was terminated..."
Please select "log out" in the top right-hand corner of ESS portal and then log back into the system.
+ If you are logging in successfully and receive a message when clicking on record working time that states "No personnel no. has been maintained in the system for your user.",
Please submit a ticket with your name and user ID. Let them know you are getting a "No personnel no. has been maintained in the system for your user." error.
+ If you are logging in successfully and receive a message when clicking on record working time that states "Please log on to the SAP System, Service: YCATW. . .",
Please submit a ticket with your first and last name, employee # and user ID. Let them know you are getting a "Please log on to the SAP System, Service: YCATW" message.
+ If you are trying to log in and your user ID and password are not working, or you don't know your user ID and password,
Please call the IT Service desk at 612-668-0088.
+ If you try to login to the portal and get a "Page Not Found...." error,
Please submit a ticket with your name and user ID. Let them know you are getting a "Page Not Found. . ." error message.
+ If you are trying to login to the ESS to record working time and get an error message that says, "Employee Does Not Exist/Not attached In Period"
Please submit a ticket with your name and user ID. Please include any other pertinent information.
+ If you are trying to log in to the ESS system and get a "User Authentification error",
Please call the IT Service desk at 612-668-0088 and give us your name and employee ID number. We will reset your password.
+ If you are trying to login to SAP GUI and get a SAP Authorization error,
Please submit a ticket and give us your user id and first and last name.
