The MPS School Psychology Team constitutes a district-wide professional learning community that meets monthly for professional development. The learning objectives for these PLC activities are based on the professional development objectives for the Department of Special Education as identified through the Program Quality Evaluation process. These departmental objectives support the district-wide goal of raising student achievement. They are also three of the domains of school psychology practice identified by the National Association of School Psychologists.
The MPS school psychologists and interns will learn about who are the Special Education Interpreters and how to work with them efficiently and effectively. They will learn Excel skills to support their MTSS work at their buildings. They will also engage in professional learning in their PDP groups.
