Compacting Curriculum for Advanced Learners (TDAA Certificate Program)

  • Davis Center - TBD 1250 West Broadway Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55411 United States (map)

Overview

Research shows that advanced learners often arrive at school knowing 50% of what theyll be taught that year. Educators need efficient and effective methods for paring down curriculum that may be redundant for advanced learners. Likewise, advanced learners need opportunities to move beyond content and skills already mastered. This day will develop teachers' skill sets to meet both of these challenges. Educators will learn the practical process of compacting curriculum.

To earn the MPS Certificate in Talent Development and Advanced Learner Education, this course is one of the elective 12 hours of training in addition to Introduction to Talent Development in MPS, Foundations in Advanced Learner Education , Tiering Lessons for Advanced Learners and the portfolio.
