Data Dives assemble multiple stakeholders into collaborative meetings that center around the collection and analysis of screener and diagnostic assessment data.

Screening assessment data is collected, organized and analyzed during the fall, winter and spring to determine and update school-wide and classroom instructional profiles with the purpose of collaboratively planning multiple ways to respond to the findings.

When implementing Data Dives, facilitators and collaborators gather together to discuss the implications of screener data and ways to respond to it.

These meetings focus on:

  • the analysis of median scores relative to grade-level benchmarks

  • developing risk-category scaffolding considerations

  • the planning of the administration of diagnostic assessments

  • devising a plan to monitor student growth towards the mastery of standards in math and/or literacy
